The Black Hills by Rod Thompson
I work in communications and public affairs. I try to squeeze in as much reading as I can while still spending time with my wife and two kids (and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan Wolverines during football season).

Thank you anyone who reads this. It took me three years to write “The Black Hills,” because I was writing for emotions. I wanted my readers to be shocked, and surprised and sad and to laugh and cry. I want my readers to feel what I was feeling when I wrote it and, much to my surprise, from the reviews on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and Walmart, it seem to be happening from a wide range of peoples. I’m surprised, but I love it. Thank you everybody. Rod Thompson
