Those blessed few of you who actually pay attention and read this blog – and don’t just surf in from Google – will recall that one of the ways I wanted to bring some focus to this site was to use themes. The idea was to read more books focused on a subject or author and thus bring some continuity – and perhaps some insight – to what I write.
So far we have been looking at myths and fairy tales. I still have some reviews coming in that area; particularly two books on C.S. Lewis and one more in the Canongate Myths Series.
But I am thinking, and moving, ahead. The next theme or focus is going to be the thriller/espionage genre. I have started with Alex Berenson’s John Wells series and will move into some other recently released thrillers (including some from international authors and even in translation).
I also still want to get to some non-fiction covering William F. Buckley and George F. Kennan. Kennan would fit well within the international thriller genre so perhaps I will tie him in.
Just thought I would offer up this public service announcement.
For those of you still reading, what do you think of this idea? Has there been a noticeable thread running through these reviews? Should I attempt a summation? As always, feedback welcome.

I’ve been trying to think how to answer this question. I discern no theme here. I guess it’s up to you whether you want one or not. I keep coming back, for whatever that’s worth.
