Ben Ausptizwas kind enough to send me the Ruyard Kipling classic Kim after he won the free book contest so I decided to bump it to the top of my list. In fact I am off to bed to read right now as I have an early soccer game in the AM.
There is nothing quite like snuggling into bed to read on a cold winter’s night . . .
I’m rereading Kim after twenty plus years also. How do you square the respectful handling of the native point of view with the reputation Kipling has as a racist. How can the same person write the Miracle of Purum Bagat and White Man’s Burden?
Hey great! I hope you enjoy it.
